Creative Movement Center takes NYC!

Miss Hayley & Miss Claire spent the last 4 days in New York City taking dance classes at the famous Broadway Dance Center. They took classes from Master teachers and professionals and learned so much about teaching, choreography, technique & of course further ignited their passion for their craft!!!

YOUR CMC teachers took classes from the greats such as Jazz from Sheila Barker, Ballet from Finus Jhnug, Jazz Funk from Jose De La Cruz, Hip Hop from Chio & learned Contemporary choreography from Brice Mousset!

Miss Claire and Miss Hayley cannot wait to share all they learned with the fabulous students at CMC! Creative Movement Center stays up on the trends of dance today & incorporates it into their dance curriculum!

CMC Performance

Creative Movement Center presents...

"Give Thanks & Dance!" -

a performance by CMC dancers for the Senior Citizens of our community.

This performance will be put on by Creative Movement Center Pre Company dancers & CMC tappers with the help of Amy Washabaugh at the City of Broadview Heights!!!
We are so excited to share our love of dance with the Seniors of Broadview Heights & our families and friends!!!

1:00-1:30 pm show at the Broadview Heights Rec. Center
(dancers should arrive at 12:45 pm)

Costume info for dancers :
Pre Company- black jazz pants, black leo. , hair pulled back , ballet slippers
Tap classes- "New York" crew should wear all black with some jazzy accents!
"In the Summertime"- black leggings, yellow CMC tee
"Hand Jive"- black leggings and a solid bright colored tee

Join us after the performance from 1:30-2:00 pm for A SENIOR CITIZEN CHAIR FITNESS
class taught by Miss Hayley & the CMC dancers!

CMC Spirit Week was AWESOME!!!

CMC Spirit Week was soo much fun!!!

Our dancers and teachers showed their spirit by dressing up each day for classes! We loved showing off our costumes, creativity and backwards clothing, too!

we are so thrilled that you are a part of the special family we have here at CMC!

News from our first week of dance:

Our Little Movers class was such a success! All of our little ones did a great job participating & caregivers did a great job, too!

Our little ones in Intro Dance and Combo classes were such smart "big kid" dancers and we are so proud of all of their hard work!

Our older dancers are already showing us that this year is sure to be the best!
CMC dancers showed up for class this week ready to work hard with a big smile from ear to ear!
It is so exciting to see the spirit of CMC showing in every class!
We love to see our dancers working hard, showing passion for their craft & making new friends in every new class! Keep it up dancers!

Princess Camp 2010
Princess camp for our little ones was so much fun!
Students enjoyed creating crafts, dancing like princes and princesses
and learning the fundamentals of dance while making new friends!

Summer Dance Camps 2010

We are so happy and proud of all of our CMC dancers who dedicated their time to improving in dance over the summer! Classes in jazz, ballet, pre pointe, hip hop & contemporary were full of excited & enthusiastic dancers ready to work hard! We know all the hard work over the summer will pay off come Sept. 7th when classes start at CMC! Great work summer dancers! CMC is the place to be all year round!

2009 Community Outreach Update...

Thank you CMC families for helping out with our recent community projects!

Food Drive: In December 2009 , we donated over 200 items to the Lend A Hand Pantry!

CMC families really showed their generosity bringing in canned goods & supplies for the home! Thank you!

CMC Giving Tree: Families at CMC helped decorate our Giving Tree with hats, gloves & scarves this 2009 holiday season! Miss Hayley plans to deliver these items to the Elementary School in Cleveland where she did her student teaching! Thank you families for your donations!
